Three disciplines, one team
From an entire home to a single window frame, every piece is designed in our Mortehoe workshop and built by craftsmen who care how it will look in fifty years.

Why clients choose Woodcraft
We are not the cheapest builder in North Devon, and we are not trying to be. We are a small team of craftsmen building things that should outlast everyone involved, including the people who commissioned them.
Family-run and owner-led
Andrew and Paula Coll run Woodcraft. Andrew is the lead carpenter on every project; Paula runs the office. You deal with the people who do the work.
Design, build and joinery in-house
One team, one point of contact, one set of standards from first sketch to final handover. No sub-let framing, no surprises.
Sustainably sourced European oak
FSC and PEFC certified timber, worked in green or seasoned oak to suit the build, with a fully traceable supply chain.
Over 25 years of experience
More than two decades of oak frames, homes and hand-made joinery across North Devon, Exmoor and beyond.
Five stages, one team, no surprises

What people say
From the first site visit it was clear we were dealing with craftsmen, not project managers. The oak garage they built sits beautifully against the house, and three years on, the timber has weathered exactly as they said it would.
James & Sarah Whitman, Croyde, Devon
Oak Framed Garage
We had been let down by two previous builders before finding Woodcraft. They restored our barn with extraordinary care, kept us informed every step of the way, and finished on the day they said they would.
Catherine Holloway, Exmoor
Barn Restoration
The orangery has changed how we use the whole house. Woodcraft handled everything, design, planning and build, so we never had to coordinate between trades. The detailing is exceptional.
Robert & Elizabeth Trent, Woolacombe, Devon
Oak Framed Orangery
Made in Mortehoe, serving North Devon
Our workshop is in the coastal village of Mortehoe. Most of our projects are within an hour's drive, across the AONB coast, into Exmoor, and inland to the South Molton hills. For oak frame supply, we work nationally.
