Our workshop is in Mortehoe, we are the only oak frame specialist based in the village.
Mortehoe is a small clifftop village above Woolacombe Bay, and it is where we are based. Our workshop has been here for over 25 years. We have done work for many of the residents, and in a small village where everyone knows everyone, our reputation is essentially our marketing. Most local jobs come from word of mouth from previous clients in the same handful of streets.
Mortehoe sits within the AONB and has a Conservation Area covering the historic village centre. We have built oak porches, garages, garden rooms, internal joinery, restored windows, and worked on barn restorations in the surrounding farmland. Distances are short, most jobs are within ten minutes of the workshop, which is reflected in mobilisation costs and response times.

Planning in Mortehoe
Within the North Devon Coast AONB. Mortehoe also has a Conservation Area covering the historic village centre. Planning is sensitive but achievable with sympathetic design. We deal regularly with the Conservation Officer and have built up a body of approved precedent on common alteration types.
