Three capabilities, one workshop
Design
In-house CAD design from your brief, sketches, or existing drawings. Full structural calculations from our consulting engineer. Drawings issued in formats your other trades can work with.
Manufacture
All frames cut in our Mortehoe workshop using traditional carpentry, mortice and tenon, pegged jointing. European oak only, FSC/PEFC certified. Typical workshop time: 10 to 16 weeks.
Erection
Optional. Our team travels nationally to raise frames on site, working with your foundations, your other trades, and your build programme.
What we supply
Complete Oak Frames, Cut, Pegged, Delivered
For self-build or where you have your own raising team. We design, draw, cut, peg, label every component, and deliver to site on a scheduled flatbed. Erection diagrams and instructions included.
Frames Designed, Manufactured and Erected
Full service. We send a site team and a crane. Typically a 3 to 7 day raising on site, depending on frame size and complexity.
Frame Elements and Components
Individual oak trusses, porches, gable bracing, beams, cruck frames, posts. Made to your specification, delivered finished.
SIPs and Encapsulation Compatible
Most of our modern oak frames are designed for encapsulation in SIPs or infill panels. We supply frames specified to your SIPs system, or coordinate with your supplier.

We have raised oak frames for homes, barns and commercial buildings well beyond Devon, from the Cotswolds to the Sussex Downs and the North York Moors. Wherever the project, the frame is designed, cut and pegged in our Mortehoe workshop and delivered to site ready to raise.
Timbers and specification
We work in green and seasoned European oak, sourced exclusively from FSC and PEFC certified suppliers in France, Germany and the UK. All frames come with full structural certification calculated by our consulting engineer.
